Interior Refurbishment of an Ice Cream Parlour

We are delighted to be involved in the Interior refurbishment of Beckleberry’s café in the MetroCentre. Work started on site this week with a total strip out of the existing space. The new design will update the interior finishes, lighting and graphics to reflect Beckleberry’s new branding and online marketing. http://www.beckleberrys.co.uk/

Alnwick Food Hall Interior

We designed the interior of the retail space, Alnwick Food Hall, for Turnbull’s the butcher. The store’s located in Willowburn Retail Park, Alnwick and is a modern take on the traditional farm shop.

The design has been inspired by the surrounding area, emphasising the local produce they sell. We developed a range of bespoke display and merchandise stands to make the shop feel contemporary but with a Northumberland edge.

Kiosk design for Auntie Anne’s Solihull mall

Our latest retail design work for established client Auntie Anne’s has opened in Touchwood Shopping Centre, Solihull earlier this month.

The compact kiosk is packed with internal services, data & electrics. Internal layout & circulation areas have been carefully designed to ensure efficient use of space and functionality.

Concealed LED lighting strips give a warm wash of light over the distressed oak cladding finishes and highlight the internal working area.

St Oswald’s ‘Ozzie’ the Bus

We assisted St Oswald’s Hospice in the transformation of a double decker bus, donated by Go North East into a charity shop on wheels. The bus was affectionately named ‘Ozzie’ in a public poll.

The vehicle, which was gifted by the region’s biggest bus company to Gosforth-based St Oswald’s, has been given an overhaul to install a heating system and kitchen, so it can be used as a mobile store, workshop and venue. Available to local businesses for private hire, the multi-functional space is also designed to host meetings or corporate events.

With plans to visit fairs, festivals and public events across the region, Ozzie Bus will act as new tool to help the hospice raise over £7.5 million every year – the sum it desperately needs to provide specialist care for patients with life-limiting conditions.

Ramsden’s Jewellery Store, Braehead Shopping Centre

We recently worked alongside Ramsden’s and Aptus Shopfitting to provide the design for their new concept jewellery store, located in the INTU shopping centre at Braehead, Glasgow.

The new concept edges towards a higher profile design and moves away from Ramsden’s more traditional look. Part of our involvement in the project included obtaining Building Warrant Consents, RD01 and RD02 Landlord approvals.

BCEC Exhibition Centre

We designed Auntie Anne’s latest shopping mall kiosk

This is our  latest design for an Auntie Anne’s shopping mall kiosk. We developed their latest pretzel outlet for Castle Court Shopping Centre, Belfast. The kiosk was unvieled to the public this week.

Joinery and installation works were carried out by Northern Ireland based Marcon fit-out.

Office Update

Our HQ has had a bit of a revamp for 2018!

Existing cellular offices have been stripped out to give an open plan office space. We have used a fairly minimal palette, with birch plywood cladding to the stairwell and neutral grey carpet tiles (provided by Desso) with the odd punch of vibrant colour squares. Pendant downlights were sourced from Dowsing & Reynolds.

Walnut Pocket Doors, Alnmouth

We brought some of our commercial know how to a domestic client in Alnmouth to design some large walnut veneer sliding pocket doors & side screens. The 2.8 metre high and 5 metre wide doors were top fixed and bonded to the floor to avoid any under floor heating pipes. Local shopfitters Rosebirch were commissioned to construct and install the doors, they also provided a factory finish dark stain to the walnut veneer prior to installation. The side panels are removable to provide access to the top sliding mechanism for future maintenance.
